Age. You chose a Pediatrician to care for your child because you

In our office, the care starts from the waiting room up. Every aspect in our office is
designed to make children relaxed, even looking forward to going to
the Doctor.

care extends farther in treating the Whole Child, not just the

- Knowing All Aspects of Pediatrics:
- No one claims to know every detail of every illness in Pediatric Medicine. The field is
so vast the standard textbook of General Pediatrics is over 2000 pages!
That doesn't even cover all the Pediatric Specialties.

- What's important is knowing the details of all of the common diseases and the
"worrisome signs" of less common illnesses. Both Dr. Kleppinger and Marci
Newell, FNP work together to maintain their combined field of knowledge by continually
updating their Pediatrics with continuing education courses, extensive
review of diseases and discussing cases with Pediatric Specialists.

- As recognition of their knowledge in the field of Pediatrics, Dr. Kleppinger
is included as Faculty at the University of Wyoming Medical School program and
the School of Nursing; Marci is included as Faculty at the
University of Wyoming School of Nursing. Both Dr. Kleppinger and Marci
Newell, FNP routinely are teaching students in their office facility.

- Experience in treating Children of All Ages:
- Dr. Kleppinger has seen and treated more Pediatric Conditions
in more children than any other Physician caring for children in
this region. As a result, families bring children from all over the Southeast portion of
Wyoming (as far away as Riverton, Lander, Rock Springs and even Gillette). Other
Physicians caring for children refer complicated cases to our office for treatment.

- Marci Newell, FNP has experience in treating children over a decade as a Registered
Nurse, as a Public Health Nurse, and now a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her experience with
children and their parents is creating a reputation not just in Laramie but in surrounding
areas of someone who takes time to listen to parents' concerns, time to examine children
with attention to every detail, and time to explain treatment options to the family.

serious illnesses and giving them the kind of complete Pediatric care our office offers.

In our Underwater Room, fish sharks, whales and fishing
nets all seem to float around the room giving it the feel of a deep sea lagoon.
Tailoring the treatment to the age of the child:
- Treating children is not the same as treating adults! To give the best possible care,
you have to keep in mind you aren't treating an illness but treating a child
with an illness. We are especially sensitive to the level of development in
each patient we treat so we can help.

- Illnesses vary by age, some common in certain ages while unheard of in other ages.
Medications useful in some ages can be detrimental in other ages. What may be confusing to
some Physicians is understood completely in our office so we can make sure each
child with each illness gets the kind of Medical
Care most appropriate for their age.

- Meeting the Entire Family's Needs:
- We don't just treat an illness in a child, but treat the illness in the context of the
family. All families are not the same in their
beliefs, experience in Medical Care, and even language. Laramie and the
surrounding areas have families from very different backgrounds and we're
sensitive to each family's medical needs. That helps us ensure the child's
illness and treatment will not put the family in conflict with their lifestyle.
By understanding the
family and not just the child, we can
make sure the
illness is well understood by the entire family. Then we
can specifically tailor treatment programs the family can
adhere to. It's all part of giving the right
treatment for the whole family.
In Our Exotic "Amazon Jungle Room", tropical
birds and monkeys silently hang from ceiling greenery and tree branches.
